CIRKO is a contemporary circus art festival with the best of international artists, Finnish talents and new creations as well as workshops, lectures, meetings and exhibitions. The 3rd edition of international Cirko festival will take place from May 7 to/through 14 2008.

The Festival is organized by Cirko Centre for New Circus. It is a Helsinki-based production community for contemporary circus art with the mission of developing circus as an art form.

The main attractions of the festival are three respected French new circus companies: La Scabreuse Taiteul, Compagnie 2,4 / 3,6 3-4 Petites Pièces Pour Vélo and Le Petit Travers. Venues: Kiasma, Stoa and Malmitalo.    The festival will also feature magnificient Finnish acts, such as the world premiere of Science Disco: KOKKO, a new 60-minute show by the internationally renowned magician Tatu Tyni & Aavikko band.
